Terms of Service
Effective June 11, 2026
1. The service
Uplifting News (the "app"), published by Matt McWilliam, presents a curated feed of positive news headlines that link to articles on their original publishers' websites. By using the app or this website you agree to these terms.
2. Content and attribution
Headlines, summaries, and images shown in the app belong to their respective publishers. The app links every story to the publisher's own website, where the full article is read. We do not claim ownership of third-party content and we are not responsible for its accuracy. All trademarks belong to their owners.
3. Free tier and subscriptions
- The free tier allows reading up to 10 stories per day.
- "Unlimited" is an auto-renewable subscription: $4.99/month or $47.99/year (pricing may vary by region and is shown in the app before purchase).
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Purchases, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under the standard Apple licensed-application terms (EULA).
4. Acceptable use
Don't abuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its services, and don't use automated tools to scrape or overload our servers.
5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app and website are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. News content is provided by third parties; rely on it at your own judgment.
6. Changes
We may update the service or these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
